Lexys Room Reveal: Vintage Boho Vibes

Updated: Aug 10, 2020

If you’ve followed me since the beginning , you’ll know I’ve styled ALOT of spaces. Lexy has never really had one style room, it’s constantly been changed around for shoots as I used her room as my content room in our previous home. As soon as I started planning our move, I started designing a room for Lexy.

Being a stylist, and changing spaces so regularly I've always felt the pressure is on to keep on or ahead of the trends. This time creating something unique was top of my list, something refreshing and a little different to what you see spread across instagram currently. So despite whether You love the space or not, I'm sure you can agree i have managed to do just that. This time it was important to me to have a space that was made for HER that she wouldn't have to change anytime soon. So I very slowly started pulling this room together, creating something that would last her and I could slightly change up but be able to keep the base the same. Lexy is a very girly girl! She loves pinks!! So while I wanted something with a bit of boho- I wanted to make sure it was something she truly loved. I’ve come to get an idea for the spaces she likes over time while she’s had different set ups. And girly floral has always been top of her list. One thing she has never had in a space is wallpaper, and she has always loved her brothers. so I decided I would choose a very neutral wallpaper as the base of her room. Something that could easily adapt to different color palettes if she decided she no longer wanted pinks. I worked with Clara from Tiny Walls to customize this foliage design into the perfect Color and I mean WOW isn't it just incredible?!

The bed head is a thrift find from Facebook marketplace. I picked this up in a coral color in perfect condition for just $70 👌🏼 Originally purchased from The Family Love Tree but i always recommend doing a marketplace search When looking for boho/vintage items as they do say someone’s trash is another’s treasure! Paint used is Squirts Satin White spray paint (which has built in primer) and used about 2 and half cans. So managed to pull the bed head together for less than $100!! You can check out a before and after here:

To compliment the bead head I went with this pink kids side table from Hello Trader.

This is perfect height for a children’s side table And the color is just the right tone Lexy.

Dressed with a lamp from Bambini delights with beautiful oak legs to bring in some natural elements which compliments the frames within the room.

I had always had my eye on the Daisy hutch from Poppys Little Treasures but wasn't up for the DIY on that one so got in touch with Naomi to see if white was an option and it turned our incredible! This is now offered as an option on the website if your after this color way! I had some older rattan pieces that were also white- so I just gave them a fresh coat of paint so they looked as fresh as the newbies within the space.

Lexy had Also requested more “real flowers” in her room so I searched for some more unique options that would suit her vintage vibe. When I came across Forever Petal and her stunning pressed flower frames I knew that it was the perfect mix of vintage and boho that I needed. So I sent through an idea and this was the incredible result 😍😍 These frames add so much character and life into the room.

The rattan wall flowers come in a raw finish, but i painted a couple of them to tie in with her side table and 'goodnight' sign which adds a little pink to the space without going over board.

I've then added in a touch of color using a custom tassel chandelier from Hello Marla and beautiful prints from Boho Art and Styling who are my absolute go to when it comes to boho inspired prints for the home.

There are so many beautiful pieces that make up this room, if you have any questions at all about this space please don't hesitate to leave them a comment on my Room reveal post otherwise you can view the full list of products used below:
